Dealing with 'Under repairs' rooms

It is Housekeeping department Responsibility to have guestroom prepared for repair work by maintenance department. The Housekeeping department can take room out of service , declaring it as out of order . The Housekeeping Responsibilities include :-

  • Taking room out of service , Informing the front office of out of order guestroom status and hanging it's sign on the door knob

  • Removing all Housekeeping supplies from the bedroom and bathroom and storing in floor pantry 

  • Covering mattress with dust sheets

  • Disconnecting telephone and storing in closet shelf

  • Sending all easy movable furniture to floor pantry 

  • Covering television by disconnecting them 

  • Closing all windows and doors.

  • Covering all furnitures.
