Scone is baked good originated in United Kingdom and Ireland usually made of wheat or oatmeal with baking powder as leavening agent . They are baked on sheet pans and are slightly sweetened , Occasionally glazed with egg wash. British scones are slightly sweetened but are also savoury which are made including dates , cheeses. Pumpkin scone is popular in Australia , pogacsa is popular in Europe. Cheese scones are popular in New Zealand while American Scones are sweet and contain fruits such as blackberry or flavouring as cinnamon and chocolate chips.
