Guest Departure Procedure In Hotels

  • A guest calls bell desk about his intention to check out or inform reception . The bell captain will ask guest about number of baggage and will initiate Departure errand card along with Bell boy.
  • Bell boy will deposit Departure errand card to front office cashier who gets clue that check out is taking place to prepare bill formalities
  • The bell boy proceeds to guestroom and knocks door announcing himself.
  • Bell boy will search room and bathroom for guest belonging and look around for any damage or missing hotel properties
  • He will take custody of keys and take baggage out
  • He will switch off electrical appliances and shut door
  • The bell boy will either lead guest to elevator or follow him.
  • Baggage are placed in Bell desk and keys are handed to cashier and awaits confirmation from cashier that billing formalities are completed
  • The cashier will sign Departure errand card and hand it to bell boy . He deposit errand card to bell captain for sign and proceed to remove guest Baggage
  • He shows Departure errand card to doorman and load baggage on transport and wishes guest a pleasant trip
  • In group Departure Procedure, the bill is presented to host or group leader which he pays or signs in behalf of travel agency .
In late check out the guest will request and is allowed to checkout later than hotel standard check out time. They request for late check out due to various reasons.
