Raw food isn't cooked or processed and has several health benefits from better skin glow to the prevention of cardiovascular diseases. In this article, I am going to explain the importance of consumption of raw diet in today generation.

A common misconception among everyone is that you have to eat everything raw but the reality is you don't have to eat everything raw. It simply means that at least 70% of the food that you eat should be unprocessed or uncooked. It's not going to be hard for you because a primarily raw diet is based on fruits and vegetables.

Do you know that cooking your food not only removes some of the nutrition, but it also takes away a lot of the flavour? Do you know that the cooking process alters the chemistry of food, making it harder to digest?

A raw carrot has much more nutrition than a cooked carrot. Eating raw foods will boost your metabolism as well. While it takes a little more energy to digest raw foods it's a healthy process. So, rather than spending energy to rid itself of toxins produced by processed food/ cooked food, the body uses its energy to feed cells, sending vitamins, fluids, enzymes and oxygen throughout your body, turning it is to the efficient machine it was designed to be.

Healthy blood plasma is supposed to be translucent, but after eating a fatty meal it looks very cloudy. For Healthy plasma,

Switching to a raw food diet doesn't me that you have to give up all the foods you're used to eating. You just need to start eating more raw, organic and live foods. When you start eating more raw foods, you may begin to notice that you're not as thirsty as you used to be. You will soon discover that you don't need as much water or other beverages as you normally would. 

There are several reasons for this, including the fact that raw foods such as fruits and vegetables naturally have a higher volume of water in them, so when you consume them your body is getting the hydration it needs from them. When you eat raw foods, you put more of the essential vitamins and amino acids your body needs into it. You're also adding moisture naturally.

Raw foods have a much higher moisture content than cooked foods, simply because the cooking process takes away so much of essential moisture that naturally occurs in food.

Most raw foods are also naturally low in calories, and much lower in fats, sugars and carbohydrates than the diet inconvenience foods we are conditioned to reach for. Once you begin incorporating more raw foods into your diet you will enjoy the benefits of raw food very sooner;

You will see an increase in energy, regulation of blood sugar, blood pressure levels, sharper vision and improved mental functionality.

It is best advised to combine cook and raw foods for more health benefits. However, keeping awareness of cross-contamination and hazards. Extra attention is required when including raw meat, raw egg, raw shellfish and unpasteurised dairy products in a diet.

In some cases eating raw or cooking helps to release valuable Nutrients from vegetables. For instance, lycopene and beta carotene are released from vegetables only when cooked while sulforaphane is found in raw. It is best to include a balanced diet in a meal i.e combining eleven food group system in a diet.
